My sci-fi story, “The Black Hole,” has been included in Fabula Argentea’s 5th Anniversary Anthology. She may not look like much (sorry, guys), but she’s got it where it counts. Features the best stories from FA’s first half-decade. Honored to be included. Here’s to many more! Pick one up at Amazon.
Recently wrote a column about the Top 10 LitReactor columns of all time over at—you guessed it—LitReactor. What have I learned as the Managing Editor of a literary website for the past 8 years? People love lists and fighting about the minutiae of grammar. That’s about it.
The first issue of new dark fiction magazine Deciduous Tales is now available on Amazon. It features my story “Bone Dust,” which is about finding your heritage by snorting hallucinogenic ancestral bones.
It was the middle of the afternoon, and Iggy and Trent were in the boneyard smashing skulls again…
The Janus themed Pantheon Magazine Vol. 11 features my story “Whispers in the Ear of a Dreaming Ape.” It deals with change on the macro and micro levels, in people’s lives and their relationships, in relation to the universe.
If that sounds too pretentious for you, it also contains the line: “No man tells me what to do with my vagina!”
Available now via Amazon.
You can now read my penitentiary pen pal paen, “Letters to the Purple Satin Killer” (which originally appeared in Thuglit #20), over at Trigger Warning Short Fiction. Features cool art by John Skewes. My personal print pictured above.

I’m not the best with words, but The Therapist tells me I should document my feelings. He even gave me an analog diary he calls a Moleskine. Every night when they put me back in my box, I’m supposed to tell it all my secrets. But I know better. There are no secrets in this place.
“What do you mean by that?” he always asks. “This place.”
“This place,” I tell him. “School. Church. Therapy…”
“What about your box, as you like to call it?”
“Especially my box. The whole infernal machine”
Got a new column up at LitReactor about one of my favorite subgenres: Books About Fictional Films and Filmmakers. If you like faux film mythology that’s stranger than truth, give it a checkout. From the intro:
I love books. I love film. I love books about film. The behind-the-scenes anecdotes, minutiae about production—I find it all fascinating. So it stands to reason I would love fiction about film.
The Wu-Tang tribute anthology THIS BOOK AIN’T NUTTIN TO FUCK WITH, which includes my story “Supreme Mathematics: A Cipher” is now available in print and eBook. Edited by Christoph Paul and Grant Wamack for Clash Books. Check out the full TOC HERE.
