Previously published at the now defunct Cracked Eye, it’s a story about toxic relationships and fear of the unknown.

Recently wrote a column about the Top 10 LitReactor columns of all time over at—you guessed it—LitReactor. What have I learned as the Managing Editor of a literary website for the past 8 years? People love lists and fighting about the minutiae of grammar. That’s about it.

The first issue of new dark fiction magazine Deciduous Tales is now available on Amazon. It features my story “Bone Dust,” which is about finding your heritage by snorting hallucinogenic ancestral bones.

The Janus themed Pantheon Magazine Vol. 11 features my story “Whispers in the Ear of a Dreaming Ape.” It deals with change on the macro and micro levels, in people’s lives and their relationships, in relation to the universe.

I’m not the best with words, but The Therapist tells me I should document my feelings. He even gave me an analog diary he calls a Moleskine. Every night when they put me back in my box, I’m supposed to tell it all my secrets. But I know better. There are no secrets in this place.

“What do you mean by that?” he always asks. “This place.”

“This place,” I tell him. “School. Church. Therapy…”

“What about your box, as you like to call it?”
