“Black Work”

Black Work_Crack the Spine
My short story “Black Work” is now live at Crack The Spine. It is an exploration of Islamic folklore and the tradition of honor killing. It was inspired by a true story and started out as an attempt at writing “the other,” and when I workshopped it, one person accused me of perpetuating Islamophobic stereotypes. I guess the internet will be the judge.
